So we know we promised we’d be back by June (time check: it’s almost December), but hey — the best promises are the ones worth breaking, right?
Long story short, we graduated high school this June and we are now taking our first steps into full-blown adulthood. As it turns out, there was a lot more that we had to deal with as we go through this phase of transition from pesky teenagers into “responsible” adults. All of which you can read more about in our newly updated Meet The Writers page.
Finally, after nearly a year, Cabeswater is up and running again! We’re really excited to give you guys a glimpse of some of the things that you can look forward to. Liiiikeeee:
We’ve been frothing with excitement over some of this year’s releases like Yancey’s “The Last Star” and new finds of old releases like Doerr’s “All The Light We Cannot See”, so we’re so happy to finally be able to review them. But, of course, you can expect other reviews of both books and movies, like “The Kings of Summer”, coming out this month.
Aside from reviewing books, you guys know here at Cabeswater we also love ranting about them. This month we’re gonna rant a lot about Stiefvater’s “The Raven King”, the final instalment of the series that inspired us to make this blog. We’ll be writing commentaries on the book, reacting to her announcement of a potential Ronan-centered series, and even compiling a list of songs that remind us of Pynch (because we’re not over it). Also, we’ll be discussing our favourite TV shows and waiting in anticipation for upcoming releases.
More of us,
Basically more, more, more.
And finally something new…
Starting from December, we are challenging ourselves to read outside of our comfort zones and we want you to join us! Wait for our next post to find out the details.
Expect a lot of great things from Cabeswater this month, we’re ready to come back with a bang. Thanks for being patient with us. You’re the best.
